First of all what is fogging and why is it the best choice in a situation like this.
The fogging machine, or fogger as it is sometimes called, is a versatile piece of equipment that uses a fine spray to apply a chemical solution for pest or odour control. Additionally it can, amongst other things, be used for sanitizing, disinfecting or for restricting the growth of mould. The fogger uses pressure to create a fine spray of 15-30 micron particle which is applied to the targeted area, the spray density typically being moderated by a manual valve to ensure the optimum effect. The spray or mist lingers in the air, so time should be allowed for the solution to settle and do its work.
In the case of Covid-19 we’re using Micosan –
- Biocidal cleaner for washable hard surfaces and floors.
- Effective against bacteria including MRSA and viruses including Hepatitis B, HIV, Coronavirus.
- Approved to EN1276, EN1650, EN13697, EN14476.
This is applied using the fogger and allowed a sufficient dwell time to activate. It’s best suited to areas where access is restricted. It does not require sealing rooms for days, just a half-hour wait after the disinfection procedure followed by an airing of the room – Room is available for use about 2 hours after airing.
How often should you undergo house or office sanitisation?
In the current Covid-19 situation it is highly recommended to take all personal precautionary measures and to provide a safe environment for all your family and co-workers. It would be wise to start with a deep cleaning of your premises and then proceed with regular sanitisation and complete disinfection as often as you feel the need.
